Increase teacher pedagogical content knowledge necessary to teach science and engineering content using the NGSS practices of science and engineering.

Modify content and teaching strategies of existing science curriculum to emphasize practices of science and engineering in ways that attend to the needs of diverse students at partner schools (emphasis on supporting English Learners and building STEM identity for girls)

Develop leadership teams to support implementation of NGSS in partner districts and across the region of implementation

Increase family participation in science through building a STEM community partnership across partner schools.
